Utica, NY Union Station

The Utica station, once owned by the NYC, has been saved and restored. A new pedestrian overpass has been built and the platforms repaired. A NYC steam switcher is on display. The overpass has made it possible for the Adirondack RR to run trains directly from the station, as well as making it easier for Amtrak riders to meet their trains without crossing the busy frieght tracks. If you notice, there are a lot of people standing in the overpass. This is because a celebrity is visiting Utica.
