Surplus Flanges at NREC

These flanges were photographed at the National Railway Equipment Company Facility in Blue Island, Illinois. The NREC buys old diesels from Class 1 Railways and either refurbs them to sell to shortlines or scraps them and salvages useful parts. Thees flanges are certainly a clear example of the latter.
