Here in Canada there will be an OPERATION LIFESAVER presentation at OTTAWA CENTRAL's "open House" at Walkley Yard in June. There were be displays and information on railway safety related issues, including accident prevention, HAZ-MAT clean up, new safety innovations etc. The VIA F40PH in Opertaion Livesaver garb will be there too.

This photo sent to me today by Ross Davies is a sobering eye opener. How many times have you seen pedestrians stand right up to the passing train at a RR crossing, infact sometimes standing on the second mainline waiting for it to pass, unaware what might be coming the other way?
