Conway Scenic stopped by 2 downed trees. (9 of 10)
After crossing the Forth Iron, we had to stop near milepost 74 due to two birch trees lying on the tracks. By the time I took this shot, one of the crew had already shaken off some of the snow and the tree had risen a few feet. They proceded very slowly and just pushed the tree over the top of the train. Must have surprised the people in the dome car when it hit their windows of the dome!
Note how much more snow is here almost 1000' lower in elevation than at Whitefield where it was all rain.
