Green Mountain Engine Facility

Green Mountain Engine Facility CIRCA 1970 from the track side, to North Walpole. Note: The right side of the photo where the building drops back to one story before the shop section of the structure. If you go to Nick Donahue's photo, August 2001 of the GMRC Roundhouse from the Rte. 12 side of the facility you will see where that opposite hand section of the building was removed for the widening of route 12. I don't remember the date of that work but it limited the depth of that last stall of the engine house. The uniqueness of the structure can still be seen today.

Photographed by Ralph Cunningham, 1970.
Added to the photo archive by Ralph Cunningham, October 1, 2002.
Railroad: Green Mountain.
