Green in the desert???

A shiny new BNSF unit rolls through Needles California past a very plush, green tree. You would never guess that 10 miles to the west is the most desolate place I have ever been...no trees, no bushes, no nothing. Just sand, tumble weeds and railroad tracks exist between Needles and Barstow California.
