B&M Shops in Boston (I Think)

I got this photo from my grandmother, She said that my great grandfather (oliver lewis) took it. the smokestack says B and M. All I know about the photo is that it was taken in Boston, MA

Archive Maintainer Note: D. A. Taylor reports that this photo shows the B&M powerhouse in the distance, and the B&M enginehouse (the roundhouse directly to the right). This area is at what used to be refered to as lower yard #8. It also shows the coal cars as they are lined up to dump coal for the power house and something few people probably are aware of today: The Greesy Spoon, a small resturant located between the powerhouse and the enginehouse, was maintained by the mechanical department, provided some pretty fair meals and was somewhere coffee was always available.

Photographed by Oliver Lewis (posted By Rob Butler).
Added to the photo archive by Rob Butler, March 17, 2001.
Railroad: Boston & Maine.
