B&O # 57 "Memnon" built in 1848 0-8-0
This class was designed to handle the heavier coal trains coming out of the mountains.
The Civil war interupted this units service to the mines when it was pressed into service hauling troops and supplies, the unit picked up the name "Old War Horse".
