Photo of NA-1 503 @ Concord
NA-1 503 @ Concord

With a lengthy train, and a short runaround track in Concord, it took the NA-1 Crew 4 trips through the runaround track to put 503 on the south end of their train.

Here was the Crew pulling the 4th and last group of loaded Ciment Quebec cars north to the runaround area, looking at the famous Market Basket trailer that is always here. Concord is now home to three distinct Market Baskets, as this smaller store is convenient for Downtown Concord shoppers.

This is the first 2022 appearance on "These NH Rails" for the 503, though it's been sighted here many times over the years. Still wears the small GATX Owned label, even though it is not anymore. 503, along with 345, 507, and 3405 were sent to Paducah Kentucky for complete rebuilds in the middle part of the 2010's.

Even in crummy weather, 503 looks & also sounds great !
