Photo of Downeaster NB at Haverhill
Downeaster NB at Haverhill

So I set out from CT to Haverhill early in the morning. At 9:35am, 30 minutes after my arrival to the station, a northbound Downeaster pulled in, with the very engine I drove up from CT to see, 50th Anniversary unit #108. I was glad I didn't have to stick around for several hours in the hopes of seeing #108, and after I got my shots, it was back south (after a few shots of the commuter rail at Bradford). Then I discovered how close I was to the Merrimack River Bridge... that would've been a good photo angle. Regardless, it was a very successful trip!
