MEC 503 & GMTX 1505 in Manchester

Coming Home ! From 1/19/2021, the NA-1 Crew ended their time, south of the Winston Road Crossing, behind "Oh-Oh-Oh-O'Reilly Auto Parts.. Eooww!". in Manchester. Behind the 503, was New England Southern's SW1500 to be dropped in Concord along with two tank cars for their client, 3M in Tilton. 503 has been a common sighting on these New Hampshire Rails over the years.

When the SW1500 went south in late August, destined for new owner, Vermont Railway's Shops, in Burlington, it left as NEGS 2555, and the cab end faced south. It returned with the cab end facing north, the shiny yellow paint intact with new lettering and a new road number. The SW1500 was sold to GMTX Leasing, and leased back to Vermont Railway/NEGS as GMTX 1505.

The NEGS Crew picked up 1505 the next day, and went north to 3M to deliver the two loaded tank cars. In between August to January, the NEGS Crew borrowed road power from the Plymouth & Lincoln once, and four different borrowed Pan Am GP40's (354, 310, 313, and 330) made the runs in NEGS Territory on the former B&M Rails from Concord to Tilton.

Nice to see the shiny yellow SW1500 back on the home rails.
