Passenger Rail Service in Hooksett ?

Kind of an idea of what things could look like as the NA-1 Crew had this fully functioning Budd RDC-1 Car in their lineup that they brought north on 9/24, as they passed the famous and historical Robie's Store in Hooksett. Yes,that's a New Haven Budd on B&M Rails being pulled by a Maine Central locomotive, well in name only, GP40 MEC 321 was the power. The Soo Line CH in front of the Budd was for Bow Blue Seal.

The RDC-1 has arrived in Lincoln. The unhurried journey went roughly on Pan Am: Plainville CT to East Deerfield, East Deerfield to Lowell, Lowell to Nashua, Nashua to Concord.
New England Southern: Concord to Canterbury Yard, Canterbury Yard to Lochmere, directly handed off to PLL..
Plymouth and Lincoln: Lochmere to Meredith Yard, and Meredith Yard to Lincoln at the Hobo Railroad's Shops.

Yup. What could have been indeed. Imagine if the state of New Hampshire was as progressive in the 1980’s like, say, Massachusetts or New York or Connecticut? Fast forward to 2019, and you would have had a fully funded commuter network from Nashua to Lebanon and from Concord to Lincoln and from Dover to North Conway. Instead, the talk was of god, guns, and small government. The proof is in the pudding

Privately owned NH 41, which had been a "guest" on the Naugatuck RR for a few years. I had a chance to run it for a short stretch....a "bucket list" check-off, as it was the last RDC I rode in revenue service back in1980 when it was Amtrak 14, Springfield-Berlin, CT.
