NA-1 / 381 The Wilton End

This is the end of the line for Pan Am's Hillsboro Branch trains. Here was MEC 381,almost in front of the historic and well preserved Wilton Passenger Station. The NA-1 Crew traveled to the west/north end in order to runaround their train which consisted of one empty hopper.

This is also the border where track ownership going south is Pan Am's and going north is the State of NH, operated by the Milford Bennington. A hand switched derail device is in place to define the border. Milford Bennington uses these tracks for their gravel trains that run between the quarry in Lyndeborough and the Granite State Concrete plant in Milford in the warmer weather months..
