Photo of The Amtrak Station at Flagstaff, Arizona
The Amtrak Station at Flagstaff, Arizona

The Flagstaff, Arizona Amtrak Station. It was built by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1926. At an elevation of 6,902 feet above sea level, I expect it must be one of the highest stations in the entire Amtrak system. The Chicago-Los Angeles Southwest Chief stops here westbound at 8:51pm and eastbound at 4:31am. (7/31/2017)
