Photo of Readville, MA
Readville, MA

Power on train "VP-2" (Selkirk to South Boston) consisting on 3 GP-40's and a GP-38 is returning to it's train on the eastbound Dorchester Main consisting of 4 cars and caboose for South Boston. The preponderance of this train is the Readville block consisting of carload freight and auto racks. What has transpired here is VP-2 came in on the Franklin Secondary via Walpole, crossed over the Shore Line onto the Dorchester Branch, backed off the Boston's on Dorchester eastbound and Readvilles in the yard. Note "pipe" for pipe connected derail connected to switch from Dorchester westbound to yard.
