"The Immaculate 503"

MEC 503 got the recent big bath and full clean up when it was used for the engine lineup that pulled the historic final complete Circus Train Extra into Nashua. The 503 was also sandwiched between Pan Am's flagship FP9's that pulled the Circus freight into Manchester.

The "Immaculate 503" has been employed for local runs to and from Nashua with the NA-1 and NA-2 crews since it's arrival in Manchester.

Here the NA-1 crew are finishing their day in Concord, as the GP40-2L(w) is being secured by the Concord Yard office, until the next crew arrives to do the runaround task and head south.

Behind the 503 is the historic Concord Gasholder Building, believed to be the only gasholder building with it's tank intact.
