The Side Show Before the Circus Train's Main Attraction.

I am sure this was a record crowd that ever turned out around Crown St. in Nashua to witness the NA-1 crew hard at work moving cars around the yard in preparation of the Circus Train Extra which was stopped at the time on the south end of the yard. Power included two Guilford gray painted GP40 workhorses, 315 and 305.

The main attraction was indeed the final run of the Circus Train Extra to Manchester ,with Pan Am's mighty fine vintage pair of FP9's on the leading and trailing end of the five locomotive lineup. In the meantime, seeing this pairing was OK too.
