More Holiday Express

At the other end of the Holiday Express consist, former SP observation #2955 was also decked out for the season. The SP veteran was built in 1941, the same year as the 4449, for the railroad's fleet of "Daylight" trains.

The car, now owned by the Northwest Rail Museum, is a familiar sight on excursions around the Portland area.

To the right of the train is a decorated section speeder owned by a Portland-area railfan. Several local speeder owners brought their rigs out to give rides along the OPR branch to help raise extra funds for the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation.
