Domeliner Unloading in Arkville! (pic 1)

Delaware & Ulster RR
Arkville, NY - MP 48
July 27, 2005

Arrival and unloading of ex-Acadia "Maroon Bells" "Planetarium" Domeliner

The "Maroon Bells" is ex-Missouri Pacific "Colorado Eagle" / #891, built in 1948 by Budd.

(This pic is first of six in series of the unloading.)

This event concluded and completed the Delaware & Ulster Streamliner consist, as the following cars were already on property, of which three were acquired from Acadian,

- Observation Car (ex-New York Central #61, built 1948)
- Tavern Lounge (ex-Minneapolis & St. Louis #52, built 1948),
- Dining Car (ex-Atlantic Coast Lines #5936, built 1950) [not part of Acadian acquistion]
- Baggage Car (converted to Generator Car) (sorry: ex-Santa Fe, no build info at this time)

The entire train can be seen in photos taken by Ernie Hunt also on NERail.
