A rare night shot of the Delaware & Ulster Railroad's #5017 (ex-D&H) ALCo RS36. Most D&U action is daytime (11a - 4p) but with the acquistion of the ex-Acadian (originally NYC) streamline fleet, the D&U charters out the train for special events.

This train was a privately chartered and catered dinner excursion for a local musical conservatory, with train returning to a misty and humid Arkville at 9:30 p.m.
