The B&M/New Haven diamond at Sudbury, MA

Looking north along the New Haven towards Lowell. The B&M ran from Boston to Northampton, right to left. This is where a Conrail local coming south from Lowell smashed into the B&M Boston to Hudson local in 1978 and knocked over the car it hit. That won't happen again. I can remember one Saturday afternoon in 1974 watching a PennCentral freight haul 80 cars north to Lowell.
