Photo of B&M/NH Turner's Falls Branch
B&M/NH Turner's Falls Branch

Crossing Greenfield Road in Turner's Falls looking north towards Turner's Falls. The row across the golf course is about a mile north of this location. This line was originally the New Haven, but was used by the Boston and Maine after the NH ended service north of Northampton around World War II. The B&M branch was about a half mile parallel to the west and can be still be traced, although the rails have been gone about fifty years.
