We're hearing train sightings in and around the historic downtown Laconia Station will be few & far between in 2026.

The Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts have chartered the "Laconia Limited" to run on Saturday May 16th. The Laconia Limited will depart Meredith station @ 9:00 am, travel south through Weirs Beach, over the Lakeport Drawbridge and into the historic 1892 built Laconia Passenger Station. Then after a tour, the train will head north going past Meredith to the former historic Plymouth Passenger Station, then return to Meredith @ 5:00 pm. Lots of great sights to take in with some rare mileage opportunities.

While First Class Seating is or mostly sold out, there's plenty of coach tickets available to ride in the comfy Budd RDC cars.

Next scheduled opportunity for trains in Laconia will be during the Laconia Pumpkin Festival in later October.
