700 Reasons to visit the OHRC

The Oregon Rail Heritage Center's other big steam is former Spokane, Portland & Seattle 4-8-4 700, seen here on display for the center's National Train Day 2025. The 1938-vintage 4-8-4 has belonged to the city of Portland since its donation in 1957 and was displayed at Oaks Park until 1987, when it emerged for a three-year renovation and subsequent excursion service.
