A sections of rails that were outside the barracks I was staying in during some training this past summer at Joint Base Cape Cod. I'm not sure how often they use them anymore

How many men traveled over these rails on the way from amphibious training to troopships docked in Boston or New York, next stop North Africa or Italy?Not only large quantites of freight and vehicles came in here, but many troop trains went out.
