L066 MEC 516n & CSXT 6152s at Garvin Falls

Here was the L066 Crew heading north by the Garvin Falls Hydroelectric Power Station in Bow, pulling one loaded hopper for Kent Feeds (Bow Blue Seal). These days, the CSX Crews provide reliable, practically predictable twice weekly service for their Bow and Concord customers.

The days of seeing 25 or 30 cars pass by here are not happening at the present time. Since most of those cars were for Ciment Quebec cars at the time, the fairly new Perini Siding north switch makes it easy for Crews to shove in the loads from the north, and eliminates the need to do multiple runarounds in Concord.

CSXT 6152 (GP40-2) has been a fairly common sighting on the Nashua Sub & Hillsboro Branch in 2025, the wide-nose-cab of MEC 516, not so much.
