On display, another new build! Not just new build steam locos that are recreated. This is class 23, D5910. These locos were known as "Baby Deltics". There were only 10 of them, and they worked in part of the then eastern region, so, plenty of people did not not get to ever see one of these. Given how rare these locos were, it kind of surprises me that a group of people have sought to recreate the 11th loco of the class.
It has been achieved by shortening a class 37 body in three places, and using class 20 trucks, and then istalling the only surviving Napier T929 engine. But, great going, and good luck, guys!
