MEC 507s & 5972n @ River Road in BowTaken from July 12, CSX's Nashua Subdivision & Concord Industrial Track was about to undergo a major home improvements on the line from Concord to Nashua. At the time, a huge, impressive amount of new ties were dropped everywhere along the line. A 64 car ballast train went as far as Hall Street dropping new stone. Even portable outhouses were dropped along the way.. CSX meant business!! The long caravan of Crews and equipment started from Concord and worked their way south.
Last year the Hillsboro Branch got the attention, this year the Nashua Subdivision & Concord Industrial Track got its due. It's a long time coming, and great to see CSX putting the meat back on the bones of these former Boston & Maine tracks.
MEC 507s & 5972n were shut down at River Road in Bow. The 507 was painted from Pan Am blue back to Guilford Rail System paint in July of 2020.. MEC 5972 (B40-8) was never repainted under Pan Am ownership, and has a blue/yellow Ukraine flag painted on the nose.
