An Amtrak Northeast Regional train arrives into New Haven, destined for Boston, on Track 12. Typically, Amtrak uses Tracks 3 or 1 for "westbounds" (the platform closest to the station) and Tracks 2 or 4 for "eastbounds" (the 2nd platform out). But things can change, and often do.
