Photo of Northbound NEGS
Northbound NEGS

Here was the NEGS CA-1 Crew taking GMTX 1505 and 1 loaded tank car north to Tilton the other day. This spot was between the Merrimack River Bridge and the West Portsmouth Street crossing in Concord.

It's been about 4 years since the shiny yellow SW1500 returned to "These NH Rails" as it became the leased GMTX 1505 with the cab end facing north. The red lettering of former owner New England Southern, was replaced with the white generic lettering of new loco owned GATX

Under prior ownership NEGS would not be serving 3M in Tilton during first the three months of the year, as their portion of the state of NH owned tracks from Canterbury to Lochmere were open to snowmobile riders, if there was actually snow. . Under VRS ownership, their portion of the State owned White Mountain Branch tracks remain in service year round.
