Once the northbound Ambassador passed, JS-2 had been free to come off the yard lead with his pick-up and is now all buttoned up, and on the move.
Blue Bird 1700s had just begun running on the Conn River and would do so in pairs, not intermixing with the usual F-units, RS-3s and GP-7s. (The Blue Bird paint scheme made it desirable to frame photos to show the cab windows on both sides of the nose.)
