For the most part, the Pan Am 4 axle, ACSES equipped GMD built, ex-CN wide-nose-cabs, have been run on the Northern Main for sometime now, as runs to and from Lawrence on MBTA tracks factor in with MEC 505, 507, 515, 516, and 518.

Rarely, a four axle GE B40-8 will appear on the Nashua Local. This was one of those moments.. Here was MEC 5958, a GE B40-8 built in May 1988 spotting a load on the "Valley Track" at Bow Blue Seal. 5958 is also 50% of the operating Pan Am blue painted GE's, both 4 & 6 axle, in-service on CSX territory. MEC 5963 is the other. 5958 was also one of the last B40's to get the blue paint in September of 2020.

The GE's cleaned up well with Pan Am colors.
