P&W Bow NH Coal Train

For a short while in 2014 or so, P&W / Pan Am hauled some imported coal (from Venezuela I think) from the docks in Providence to the Bow NH power plant. On June 7, 2014, a pristine neatly re-lettered B40-8W of obvious BNSF lineage (actually built for AT&SF in 1992) leads the loaded coal train north on the PAR\'s Worcester main at the Pine Hill Rd crossing in Lancaster MA.

Photographed by John Barlow, June 7, 2014.
