LB-2 has cut away from its train and is shoving cars to be set out into a yard track. A trainman on the point car, white rag in hand, controls the move. (While visible to the Engineer, he is mostly hidden from the photographer by a utility pole.)

Another great portrait of New England railroading. It is amazing how much deindustrialization has taken place here and throughout New England since this picture was taken close to 60 years ago.
