Train 164 Stopping at Kingston Station with 165 Long Gone

AMTK 651 and AMTK 632 (ACS-64's) together lead train 164 into Kingston Station close between 10 and 15 minutes after train 165, which it is supposed to share station time here with, had headed west.
At one point the 2 train were predicted to be very close to the same time, but despite the presence of 2 ACS-64s with their pantographs up, 164 lost quite a bit more time coming across eastern CT and RI than it had lost on the rest of the journey up from Washington.
I did not wait for train 2259, as it was 35 minutes late getting out of Boston with mechanical issues and the cold platforms lacked appeal to keep me at Kingston Station for almost another hour before it could be expected to pass.
