CP southbound tied down at Delanson NY

On an overcast September 2011 day, a leaser heads up a southbound awaiting a crew on the ex-D&H Albany & Susquehanna line at Delanson (short for DELaware ANd HudSON). It's been 20 years since Canadian Pacific acquired the line (and in 4 more years it will become Norfolk Southern) but evidence of D&H still exists here with jointed rail, GRS signal gantry with turned away heads, and lots of code lines.

Photographed by John Barlow, September 4, 2011.
Added to the photo archive by John Barlow, April 13, 2022.
Railroad: Canadian Pacific.
