It is 1984 and the first year that the B&M became part of the Mellen empire. He has just purchased the D&H for a mere half million dollars, so D&H power is now in the mix. Here a B&M GP38 followed by a D&H Alco Century and a GP40 haul their consist upgrade out of the Nashua River valley along the river and Patterson Road in Shirley MA.
