NYC Number 16

No it didn't run on rails, but I'm sure New York Central No.16. handled many a car float in its day. This grand old steam tug was moved to Bourne MA in 1982 and was a stop on any adventure to see the Cape railroad revival. It was moved here by the owner of an ice cream shop but was broken up in 2006 to make way for a CVS. The pilothouse and stack were moved to a museum in Kingston, New York.

Very nice Ron! I discovered this beautiful old Tug Boat back in '84. My hat off to who ever it was that restored her. I never did get a chance to take a tour. I heard the same that the Pilothouse and Stack had been moved to a Museum. My post is titled "New York Central @ Buzzards Bay".
