This car has an interesting pedigree! Google searching says: it was originally a Pullman named "Ohio River Club" built for C&O in approximately 1950 that was sold to B&O in 1951 and became their observation/sleeper "Metcalf". Given "Metcalf" was equipped with diaphragms on the observation end, it was used mid-train on the Capitol Limited, which was split at Willard for operation of the Capitol to Chicago and the Ambassador to Detroit. The "Metcalf" (and "Dana") became the observation cars on the Ambassador portion of the train. This car became Amtrak's 3252 and after Amtrak it ultimately went to RPCX (Railroad Passenger Cars Inc). Wonder what it's doing at Retsof?
