Smithboro offered trains in both directions. The flat car, behind the power on this westbound, carries empty auto trailers, of a style common at the time. The super elevation at this location shows how seriously the Erie Railroad had taken their mission to haul fast freight.

Excellent! First gen cab units were still operating in A-B-B-A sets on EL's priority freights.
