The merger in limbo, won't be settled until Jan. 01 '97 when MoPac officially becomes part of Union Pacific. The Hogger "lights them off" as he gets the green to bring his train into the yard.

Excellent capture! These units showed up in L.A. on intermodal trains when the paint was still fresh. It was soon clear that they represented a turning point and that GE was on to something.

Thought these units might have been part of the UP's steam program! Excellent photo - definitely not dreck!
