CP 904 is in Barton, VT south of Crystal Lake, climbing toward Summit. On reaching St. Johnsbury, the two CP units will be part of the head end set out. Lack of nose MU meant that the 4266 was usually operated as either the first or last unit in a consist. The F unit arrived in Newport in the lead. The CP head end helpers made it necessary for the the 4266 to be turned. The nose logo was an RDC decal applied by employee/ enthusiasts at B.E.T. A week or two after this exposure the 4266 was said to have been permanently side lined with electrical issues.
