Metro North Stone train & M/V Commander
As a 48 year old ex-Reading GP35 pulls a half dozen ballast cars along the Hudson River, a sharp looking 95-year old cruise boat, M/V Commander approaches Bear Mountain area. Launched in 1917, Commander was used by the US Navy in various anti-Uboat duties around New York until de-commissioning in 1919 when she began her Hudson River excursion career. Sadly Commander was put up for sale in 2019 and appears to be unsold as of 2020.
