Line of hopper cars

This line of empty hoppers sit in the former CSX yard in Milford, MA in February 2020. The yard is between Central and Depot Streets. It's finally being put to use by the G&U RR after pretty much sitting empty for decades. A gate has been erected to the yard, although propped up with no fence.

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

I think these MoW hoppers were the ones that were stored on the mainline east of the Hopedale St bridge for quite awhile. They obviously had to be moved off the main once revenue freight ops to Forge Park began a couple of weeks ago. That's one thing about G&U - there's precious little storage space on the RR!

Is there any chance that G&U can expand the Milford yard?

I've been wondering that myself, but I don't know the terms of the agreement.
