Prominent feature of consist is the now nearly unending supply of vegetable oil in loaded tanks to, and empty tanks from Catania Spagna Ayer. This volume of oil now has far surpassed the unit trains of petroleum which were haltingly tried several years ago on this railroad from Rotterdam to Mattawaumkeag

While traveling across on the Empire Builder, the most commonly seen tank cars were those with corn syrup, and the next common were vegetable oil. Shows how productive our agriculture sector is here in the good ole USA!
