CNW Coal Train Heading East W/o ex ATSF Unit

CNW 8013 (SD60) and CNW 8551 (C40-8) have returned to their train after setting out ATSF 8056 (C30-7) on a side track at California Jct., IA. and are accelerating their loaded coal train east toward Missouri Valley, IA and the C&NW mainline across Iowa. I do not know if the ATSF unit was set out due to mechanical issues or to save miles owed to ATSF for use of its unit on the C&NW. Either way, it seems strange to set it out at a rural junction just a few miles short of a moderately large C&NW facility.
