Even if this ran on Halloween, it was hardly a frightening sight. The Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts chartered a Winnipesaukee Scenic train to run the "Lochmere Limited" that departed from Meredith Station and ran to the end of their operating territory at Silver Lake Road in Lochmere (Tilton NH) just a few hundred feet south of here, and back.

While at in Lochmere, riders got to take in the sights of the Lochmere Trestle off the train, as they disembarked on the north side of the trestle to take in a couple of photographic run by opportunities from the train crew. The excursion offered stops at both the Lakeport Freight House and Laconia Station, here, plus two other photographic run-by opportunities near Jewett Brook in Laconia and on the Weirs Beach Boardwalk before returning to Meredith.

Power included locomotives at both ends. P&L 1012 (SW1000) on the north end and P&L 1590 (SW1001) on the sunny south end., in between were ex B&M Budd RDC-1 6105 (pictured) and RDC-9 6921, ex Reading RDC-1 9151 and ex-CN Pullman 103 used for "First Class Seating".

For those keeping score, here was the 6th and 7th movements in 2020 on this section of track between Lakeport and Lochmere on the White Mountain Branch. The prior 5 moves did not involve a passenger train. The water is purposely low, released from the dams, so property owners can take care of maintenance projects.
