PRR 7117 (GP9) wears a remarkably fresh coat of simplified PRR paint as it switches coal hoppers in the small yard at the base of the PRR coal pier in Sodus Point, NY. It is clearly using the track leading up on to the pier, although it seems to be on the wrong end of this car for it to be heading for the pier. It seems a bit surprising to find such fresh paint as such a remote outpost of the PRR system, although full trains of coal were still running north along the Elmira branch some nights when I was in the Penn Yan area, so perhaps Sodus Point stil rated a reliable unit. Date is a guess, but it is definitely sometime between the spring of 1966 and the spring of 1968.
