UP wb assaults Beaumont Hill

Passing the Palm Springs Amtrak station and a pair of SD70s waiting for a westbound helper assignment, a manifest with 10 locomotives led by SD70AH 8888 continues to climb up the east side of Beaumont Hill on the UP Yuma division. The wb manifest appears to be over-powered to climb to the 2,591 foot summit 26 miles from Palm Springs (at 479 feet above sea level). Apologies for the sun being in the wrong position but the desert sky sure is blue!
