NA-2 / 502 - "The Runaround at Sundown" in ConcordEasy one for the NA-2 Crew, with only a double runaround on Tuesday evening 6/18. For the past few months, the Nashua Crews have been coming north with 25 to 30 car loads, last night they got a bit of a break with a smaller car count.
MEC 502 is the current road power, and has not been sighted on these rails in a very long time. This GP40-2L(w) has the latest state-of-the-art PTC/ACSES installed, with a noticeable antenna array installed on top of the cab, also the classification lights look like they have been 'plated' over fairly recently.
The majority of the 500 series locomotives have been repainted, nicely, in Pan Am blue though a handful remain in Guilford paint in addition to 502, with 508, 509, 510, and 514. All but 508 are in service at this time.
